FUTURES is pleased to debut a new body of work by Matilda Davis entitled ‘Romantic Geometry: Measuring the Emotional Spiral’ at our gallery in uptown Collingwood.
Featuring seven swirling magical realist paintings on linen, the exhibition explores particular scientific phenomenon such as fractal geometry, pareidolia, geology and the supernovae. These works continue theosophies’ marriage of the spiritual and the scientific with explosive energy and concern with the mechanics of the universe as articulated by the painter’s hand.
